Maxime Yde is a graphic designer by day, printmaker and visual artist by night. Her work is always very pure and balanced, often reduced to an abstract play of lines or a monochrome composition. She’s taken by the fragility of a line, a shape, a minimal movement. By abstracting the world around her, her ideas, emotions and thoughts, she sees things more clearly. Like creating some order in the chaos. Most of the time, the viewer will not see where a certain piece is about, but that’s okay. Each and everyone can give the piece its own story, own meaning, or just fall in love with the beauty of an image.
