Maxime Yde is a visual artist and graphic designer. Her practice moves between printmaking, drawing, painting and photographic images. She often works through analog, materially driven processes, using print techniques, textures, and three dimensional experiments. For her, the image is not fixed, but something that can shift: constructed, altered, and reread over time.
Her work starts from personal experiences and emotions that are at once universally recognisable, such as vulnerability, love, grief, anger, and existential doubt. These emotions are not represented literally, but form the starting point of her visual research.
By analysing and combining images, memories, and observations, she explores how meaning can emerge within fragmentation and abstraction. Creating becomes a way to gain clarity within something that is not always fully graspable, and to make space for reflection and stillness.
Her visual language is often abstract, without a fixed narrative structure. Meaning is not predefined. The viewer is invited to approach the work in their own way, constructing personal associations and interpretations, or simply experiencing the image as it is.
